In 1990, Avonmore began with handmade bridge tallies created for local players in California. What started as a practical idea quickly spread through word of mouth as customers shared the products with friends, clubs, and regular bridge groups.

The earliest tally sets were typed on a memory typewriter and laminated at a local office supply store. Over time, the line grew to include Smart Color Playing Cards, bridge accessories, and giftable favorites, but the core idea stayed the same: offer well-chosen bridge products that feel useful, polished, and easy to order.

That founder-led approach still shapes Avonmore today. Customers can shop online, but they can also call, text, or email when they want real help choosing the best fit.
